The long weekend, inspired me to try these american pancakes
for brekkie, I found the recipe in this little cook book
from Jamie Oliver, they were yummy served with strawberries.
More, american style pancakes there ! I used the pancake maker,
but I have used the frying pan as suggested and the results are the
same. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the pancakes so I have used
Jamies ! Hope you enjoyed the long week-end.

Lucky ME
Just in time for the weekend these arrived in the post from Lotta from Stockholm
I discovered these great clogs on the blog Seeds and Stitches, with prices starting
at £45.00, they are so much cheaper than their famous cousins.
They are sooo comfortable and give a shortie like me a bit of extra height.

Show and Tell vintage magazines
I wanted to share with you these magazines
published bi monthly, and on line at they are
an inspirational source of vintage hair, make up
fashion and living. The March/April edition
features a "war time wedding" and" focus on
the forties"one of my favourite vintage periods.
I did not know about them until one of my lovely
Sew Retro students kindly lent me these copies,
they are well worth a read. Also a great section
in the back full of adverts for all your vintage
"needs".

The houses open to the public for 4 weekends in may
usually between 11am and 6pm on saturday and sunday.
All the open houses are advertised in the booklet which is easy
to pick up the cafes and the libary, the different area's in Brighton and Hove
are divide up and shown on a map, with bus routes parking ect. Many
of the Open Houses offer tea and cake, as we are at All saints.
My mum kindly kept "an eye" on my table and I nipped out to see
Polish and Pin at 23 Wilbury Gdns which I loved , Sylvie Howitt
breath taking paper cuts and some amazing redesigned home wares,
16 Hartington Villas showed Jonny Hannah prints and Martha Mitchell
homewares. I will be popping back for a Jonny Hannah print.
